It's a small world after all

I currently have an obsession with two things - tilt-shift photography and miniature photography art. Both achieve similar results in that they produce pictures that make things look like small, miniature lego pieces.

Tilt-shift photography/videography uses a special camera lens that tilts and shifts in order to create an illusion that something is smaller than it really is. The SMH did a story on this a couple of years ago.

Miniature photography art is more about creating alternative worlds using model pieces in real world environments such as in a sandpit, or on a piece of fruit and then using macro photography to make it appear life size. Check out what it's all about on some of my favourite sites - Little People and Mini Miam.
